Roadtrip to Kathleen Edwards

I was all excited to come on and post a pic. But the SHIT-O camera that the crap-o ex gave me claiming it was the best camera out there took not one picture that didn't look like people were tripping on acid or the concert was being held in the dark. I even got my pic with her and it came out blurry. In case you are wondering, this shitty camera is the Nikon Coolpix S1, otherwise known as "I take fine pics in daylight but the second it's dusk or there isn't full lighting, give up and turn me off." Basically useless.

So the concert! She was touring with this dude named John Doe which was funny in itself. Google him and you will never find him on his name alone... I mean, really! He wasn't bad but I do wish she would have sang more of her songs. :/ We traveled out to York, PA and when we got there, I kinda wondered, who the hell lives here? And why? And at the concert it was clear that everyone else had traveled in too. We did drive past some fun places on the way... a cool looking mini golf place... some outlets... and a bunch of farms! I am pretty sure we saw an alpaca and Lauren got really excited!! =)

an emotional election

This election has me very emotional... and that is the first time this type of thing has happened. I was so nervous in the poll when I clicked all my buttons that I looked it over a couple times. I didn't realize I was holding a pen and had accidentally drawn on myself. I don't know quite how to explain it but when D has been teasing me about me saying that I am voting for socialism or higher taxes, I actually get very angry. I am not in a swing state at all. I live in Delaware and McCain has no chance here. The hope is that he has no chance anyways. My mom said that this is almost like it was with JFK... that for the first time someone is coming around that seems to break the mold-- and our country just seems so damn shitty lately. No, not in comparison to 3rd world countries. Don't get me wrong-- we have tons to be thankful for. But Bush has gone and fucked up time and time again and something needs to turn this around. Haha, as corny as it sounds, it's time for a change. :p Even Duff was writing me telling me how much they are following this in the UK and saying they are all for Obama. Good to hear. =)

I voted!!!

So I voted! At 10:50 am, there was a 25 minute line.... whee! Imagine at 6pm... lordy! I wore my obaba/biden button to the polls! =) I think douglas is voting for mccain which is oof. But (and I don't know if I have ever mentioned this), d is a cop. Cops tend to be on the conservative side. Altho he is a liberal cop, he still goes on a bit about cops' rights so I guess I should have expected nothing less. I don't wanna badger him since he has the right to vote for whoever he wants. But he's in a swing state!! Oof.

I mean I am really not a sports fan. (or shall I say PHAN) :P but even I can get into the world series when the Phillies are playing!! I was watching last night and it was actually fun to watch! Who knew? Normally it is kind of boring! (ok, really boring)

the headaches

have been really, really bad lately. It's like I am back at square one and never got any better. I don't know what happened but all the many medications I am on to prevent them are not working and the many medicines they give me to treat them when I get them (which is every day) are also not working which means I have them all the time. It is absolutely awful and leaving me basically miserable and not sure what to do. I made a new appointment with the headache center in Philly and I am guessing they are gonna switch my meds. Not sure what happens cause for a while, I was definitely doing better. Down to 3 a week and they were treatable headaches. But it is really discouraging to know that it worked for only about 6-8 months total and we are switching medications. I can't do that for my whole life-- we run out of meds. I don't know what to do.
